The Chairman has a strategic role to play in representing the vision and purpose of the club. The Chairman ensures that the management committee functions properly and that effective decisions are made and delivered. Rob has been with the club for a year, having been appointed in September 2017.

The DWP’s key responsibilities are supporting the Chairman in his duties, as well as assuming his responsibilities where the Chairman is absent or unable to perform his agreed roles and responsibilities. Anthony has been with the club in a number of positions since inception, including Chairman until 2017.

Finance Director

The role of the Finance Director is to maintain an overview of the club’s financial affairs, ensuring its sustainability and ensuring that proper financial records and procedures are maintained at all times across its numerous programmes. Rob has been involved with the club since 2016 and has held the position of Finance Director since 2018.

Adult Operations

The Adult Operations Director is the principal administrator for the Sandwell Steelers’ Adult programme. This role, within the strategic vision of the club, has the autonomy to manage and co-ordinate the programme to the best of their ability, ensuring the members have the best possible programme we can offer to them. ‘Pinky’ became Operations Director in 2017.

Womens Operations

The Women’s Operations Director is the principal administrator for the Sandwell Steelers’ Women’s Programme. This role, within the strategic vision of the club, has the autonomy to manage and co-ordinate the programme to the best of their ability, ensuring the members have the best possible programme we can offer to them. Sam became Operations Director in 2015.

Youth Operations

The U17 Operations Director is the principal administrator for the Sandwell Steelers’ Under 17 programme. This role, within the strategic vision of the club, has the autonomy to manage and co-ordinate the programme to the best of their ability, ensuring the members have the best possible programme we can offer to them. Jay has a rich history within the Steelers and become the Youth Operations Director in 2018.

Communications Director

The CD is responsible for the efficient and smooth running of the Management committee meetings, preparing agendas, minutes as well as timekeeping. The CD is also responsible for ensuring Membership records are acquired and maintained as well as ensuring the Clubs HR needs are met.
